DOOR COLORS and YOUR PERSONALITY By Pierre Mouchette | Bits-n-Pieces Your front door is not only an entrance to your home. It is also a statement about who you are. When choosing a new front door, it is always essential to consider energy efficiency, maintenance, cost, and style. But did you know that the color of your door can also say a lot about you?
The following are some popular door colors and what they state about the homeowners' personalities: BLACK - a color that symbolizes order and control. It will tell people that you are sophisticated and authoritative. BLUE - depending on the shade, a blue front door can mean:
BROWN - depending on the shade, brown can mean you are warm and reliable (light brown) or introverted and private (dark brown). GREY – this color is often associated with intelligence and being dignified, but it can come across as stand-offish, depending on the shade chosen.
GREEN - a green front door states that your home is a place of health, community, and safety.
ORANGE - is considered vibrant and exciting, and if your front door is orange, it will say the same about you. You will also give off the vibe that you like entertaining and taking on new challenges.
PURPLE - is a unique front door color. It is often associated with spirituality, so by painting your front door purple, you are informing your neighbors that you are open-minded and a risk-taker.
RED - has been symbolic throughout history to mean “welcome.”
WHITE: A white front door will tell your neighbors that you are clean, organized, simple, and serene. YELLOW - although uncommon, it states that you are confident, curious, wise, humorous, and understanding.
