A study by the Organic Center shows that almost 60 percent of the non-organic milk sampled contains residues of chlorpyrifos, a pesticide that scientists say is unsafe at any concentration.

What is Lactose Intolerance?

Lactose intolerance is when your body cannot break down or digest lactose, some sugar in milk, and milk products. It occurs when the small intestine does not produce enough of a digestive enzyme, called lactase, that breaks down the lactose in food so that the body may absorb it. People who are lactose intolerant can have unpleasant symptoms after consuming milk or milk products. These symptoms can include bloating, diarrhea, and gas.

Harmful Chemical In Soda

Most people understand that soda contains sweeteners and carbonation. However, they may not be aware of some soft drink ingredients that can harm the body's nervous system, such as brominated vegetable oil (BVO), a food additive (banned in Europe but allowed in the U.S.). BVO is one of several harmful food additives not adequately regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

FYI: Drinks with citrus flavoring are more likely to contain BVO. In adding weight to the flavoring mixture, BVO, made by bonding vegetable oil to bromine, allows it to combine with the sweetened water to keep the flavors from separating.

What is Gastroparesis?

Gastroparesis is a disorder that occurs when the stomach takes too long to empty food. This disorder leads to various symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, feeling full, and slow stomach emptying, known as delayed gastric emptying. Gastroparesis can be due to a variety of issues. But, people with diabetes are at an increased risk.

Children’s Sweets Contain Additives That Are Unsafe For Consumption

There are thousands of sweet treats marketed to children containing titanium dioxide, an additive European food safety regulators say is unsafe for human consumption. However, the U.S. has not reassessed the potential threat of titanium dioxide in more than 50 years. Titanium dioxide is used in many popular candies and other processed foods to give a smooth texture or to work as a white colorant. The pigment can brighten colors, making the food more vibrant and appealing, but the additive has no nutritional benefit.

Is There A Cancer-Causing Chemical In Your Bread?

Many packaged baked goods have flour that may contain potassium bromate, an additive linked to cancer. The chemical is added to flour to strengthen the dough and allow it to rise higher, benefits that have led many U.S. companies to embrace it. This additive is widespread and legal in the U.S., even though other countries have banned it due to health concerns.

The U.S. food industry has long argued that potassium bromate is not a concern in baked products. In theory, baking fully converts it into potassium bromide, a similar yet non-carcinogenic chemical.

In lab tests, animals exposed to it had increased incidences of benign and malignant tumors in the thyroid and peritoneum, the membrane that lines the abdominal cavity. The latest research finds that ingesting potassium bromate significantly increases cancer of the animals’ thyroid, kidneys, and other organs.

It is a computer program that formats a document to make it easier for computers to share while retaining the original formatting (fonts, text, images, etc.). PDF is the default format for static documents. The PDF document is indifferent to the device it is displayed on, or the operating system (Apple/Microsoft) used. It is the standard way for people to share electronic documents.

First, I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are doing well. This year we celebrate five years of delivering great information to all.

It is due partly to redesigning The Synchronicity Investor (TSI) and The Real Property Experts (RPE) websites to serve you more efficiently. Although most of the redesign features are in play now, subtle changes are still coming forthwith.
