​Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) and ibuprofen slow down the body's ability to form clots.  It increases your chance of bleeding.  If you have surgery, you should not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or products containing them.  Below is a list of common medicines containing aspirin or ibuprofen.

Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure if a medicine contains aspirin or ibuprofen.
