The most important part of being a real estate investor is advertising! Having qualified leads is what it comes back to. If you have no leads you have no deals and without deals you will make absolutely nothing.
Bandit Signs (choose your location, size, shape and color, influence, and content because it is critical for the signage to work).
Business Cards (this miniature billboard is the cheapest way for you to introduce yourself to potential leads). Every time you talk with someone about your real estate business give them three cars. Why three? They will be able to hand the other two to an associate or friend. This will grow your business by word of mouth!
Direct Mail: Direct mail campaigns work! Postcards are generally better than envelopes. You can obtain your leads from the courthouse, local paper, list service providers, MLS, probate court, and more.

- Location: Placing signs where people driving by will have a chance to read the sign (preferable at a stop light), and not just be able to see it.
- Size Shape and Color: If your sign is too small to read from a distance, then the reader will not be able to write down the contact phone number, or website. Using a sign that is shaped like a house could also capture the eyes mind. Test your signage with different colors, fonts, and font colors because a sign that blends in will not draw attention.
- Influence: In having your signage all over town you inadvertently influence people. Additionally, if they miss the contact information at one stop, they have a second or third opportunity to reverify the previous information.
- Content: Every investor has their niche market! If yours is foreclosure, your sign should read something like “AVOID FORECLOSURE,” likewise if it is lease options then “We Buy Houses or We Take Over Payments,” you get the idea!
