Hazards of Plug-In Air Fresheners

​The air freshener market has experienced a resurgence due to the convenient of ‘plug-in’ air fresheners.  These air fresheners rely on heat induction technology and special heat-activated scented gels to continually release a scent.  Plug-in air fresheners were a perfect substitute for the aerosol spray types which are under attack for their harmful effect on the ozone layer.  Now, consumers are being warned that they should rethink plug-in air fresheners due to independent researchers investigating these seemingly hassle-free devices.
