Why the use of Asbestos? – it is a natural mineral that was used in many products because of its resistance to heat. Asbestos made products were lighter, stronger, fireproof and thermally stable. For manufacturers, using asbestos in products was easy, the product was plentiful and inexpensive to purchase.
